Mi Abuelo Florencio

This is my grandpa Florencio, my mother's father.

In this picture also: Angela and Claudia, by 1976, in Chucarapi, Arequipa, Peru.
I lived at his home with his new family when I was a little kid.
I was his favorite grandson.
When I was a teenager I used to visit him and help him with his bakery.
He was a great man.

End Daylight Saving Time

"For about the last 40 years, residents of Utah have been required to adjust our bi0-systems backward or forward twice a year.

"This disconnect is more than disconcerting. The sun doesn't shift; birds and animals don't shift, and people shouldn't have to shift either. We should be able to go along with nature instead of jerking our health and well-being around twice a year. We can't "fool Mother Nature," but neither can we ignore her.

"Although several studies have indicated physical, mental and emotional trauma are associated with the mandated time shift, we really don't need a study to point out the obvious. Trying to get sleepy children up the next morning or wide-eyed children into bed the next night is an illustration of the problem."

Pollo a la Brasa

This past Saturday we went to the Fernandezes' home and ate rotisserie chicken, Peruvian style. It was delicious.

Well, it was not really "a la brasa" because they don't use charcoal, but it was really juicy and delicious.
You have to try it.
