"For about the last 40 years, residents of Utah have been required to adjust our bi0-systems backward or forward twice a year.
"This disconnect is more than disconcerting. The sun doesn't shift; birds and animals don't shift, and people shouldn't have to shift either. We should be able to go along with nature instead of jerking our health and well-being around twice a year. We can't "fool Mother Nature," but neither can we ignore her.
"Although several studies have indicated physical, mental and emotional trauma are associated with the mandated time shift, we really don't need a study to point out the obvious. Trying to get sleepy children up the next morning or wide-eyed children into bed the next night is an illustration of the problem."
