How's Victor Doing?

Here in Utah, I learned that co-workers, in the workplaces, are not used to say Good morning, or How Are you? when we see one to another in the mornings as we are in Peru.

Sometimes it's the third time when we see each other when a co-worker asks:

-How's Victor doing? (Como esta Victor?).

-Good. (Bien). I say.

-Good. (Que bien). He says.

That sounds weird to me.

How's Victor doing? Victor is diabetic type 2, cannot see very well with the left eye because of glaucoma, has high blood pressure, has prostate problems, high cholesterol, high tryglicerides, weak legs, weak arms because of age, age spots in hands and face, etc. etc.

But I ..., I am doing good, really good.

Victor has to take Metformin and Actos for diabetes, Isinopril for high blood pressure, some other medicines for prostate.

Oh, I forgot to mention the eyedrops for his glaucoma.
