Embotelladora Caplina SA

Last week I was talking with Ann, the receptionist in Champion Safe, about my last job in Arequipa, Peru, when I was the CEO of Embotelladora Caplina SA, a company affiliated to Cia. Cervecera del Sur, along with other 15 companies that were part of the conglomerate of Cervesur. And I began to remember the good people I was associated with back in Arequipa, Peru, long time ago.

Most of them were arequipenos, that is, born in Arequipa, my city. Nice people, excellent professional men, great friends. But the most interesting thing was the last names of these arequipenos I worked with for 13 years. Let's see. In Cervesur: Christian Harmsen, financial manager; Jaime Barclay, production manager; Eduardo Lira, sales manager; Ernesto Mannheim, purchasing manager; Eusebio Arapa, accountant; Fernando Garcia Calderon, lawyer; Helmut Weiss, computers; Jaime Carpio, human resources; Bradley Silva (American), financing; Victor Aubert, Cusco brewery manager.

The managers of the other companies: Jaime Delgado, CEO of Embosur; Nedeljko Skopljak, Embosur production manager; Carlos Eguren, Embosur lawyer; Carlos Paredes, Alprosa; Maximo Cornejo, a truck company; in charge of growing and exporting asparagus, Carlos Neuenswander and Andres Jochamowitz; Albrecht Muller (German), production manager for Caplina, a good friend of mine. Among all these good men: Victor Hugo Gamero.

In those times I was a Stake president and then a Regional Representative for the church in Peru.

My last two bosses, presidents of the board of directors of Caplina: Herrn Ulrich Gocht (German) and Herrn Andres von Wedemeyer; good men, excellent entrepreneurs, great friends, with a big love to Peru and to Peruvians.

I am happy and grateful of having worked with all these excellent men and friends for 13 years. It was a big privilege for me.
